Grayed Out

No filters,
Yet the mist gets in the way
Colours subdued,
What one mostly see is gray

Misty eyes...
Is that muted joy or muted pain?
Can you see beauty?
Or are you fearsome of rain?

Pumping heart...
Curiosity-filled or anxiety-drained?
Are you soaring high,
Or are you gasping for the sky?

Grayed out, reality is
May your truth be found, not missed
May one find you in vigor, not in dissolution
From up high. into the deep...

"Whimsical Past"

Old Europe reminiscin'.... and it ain't far reachin'...
Just outside your neighborhood you're findin'
What a great era it must have been

Oh, so bright!  Such a bewildering sight!
You can't touch it, but you can delight
Imagination can make any history a wonderful plight

Sun sets... a new bright day coming...

At least that is the "hope"
that currently lingers
in this country of mine...

The "right to vote",
a power to behold!

A BREAK FROM "SANDY"

The wrath of a "Frankenstorm"
was felt all over the mid-east...
And as we seek for refuge and solace,
and as we look forward to relaxing on a place like this,

let us not forget to offer a prayer...
let us not forget to do our share...
